TECHIMPACT LAUNCHES NEW “TECHTALKS WITH CATHY SIMPSON” PODCASTS AND WEBINARS
With this pivot to online delivery, the new TechTalks series expands beyond the student audience and will provide relevant and timely information to business owners, executives, technology managers, IT professionals and economic development officials as well as those considering a career in the IT sector.
“This series of podcasts and webinars will educate, inspire and engage Atlantic Canadians in new conversations about technology and how it supports economic growth, builds our workforce and IT sector and attracts talent to our post-secondary institutions and region,” said Cathy Simpson, the CEO of TechImpact and the host of the series. “TechTalks will create new connections between employers, students, entrepreneurs, investors and our business community.”
“Our goal is to inform our listeners about the opportunities and the importance of technology here in Atlantic Canada. Those opportunities have only grown during this global pandemic as more and more organizations turn to remote work and online sales. We want to share more success stories, give students more ideas about IT career opportunities and what to expect, and also assist businesses who are looking at technology and need more guidance on where to start,” said Simpson.
There are more than 450 digital technology firms operating in Atlantic Canada, representing more than $6 billion to the region’s economy. TechImpact counts many of the region’s top IT services firms and users as members including McCain Foods, Cisco, Mariner Innovations, Innovatia, MNP, IGT, Bulletproof Solutions, University of New Brunswick, Dalhousie University and many more.
The TechTalks With Cathy Simpson podcasts will be available on a number of platforms including Apple, Spotify, Google Podcasts and Amazon Music. The first episode is available today.
