Civic Tech Saint John is closing out the year with a special Holiday Guest Speaker Night and community celebration — and the TechImpact team is excited to share this opportunity with our network.
On Tuesday, December 9 at 6:30 PM, the Social Enterprise Hub will welcome Eric Savoie, National Human Services Leader at EY Canada, for an evening focused on free digital upskilling and accessible AI education.
Empowering New Brunswickers with Free AI Training
Eric will introduce the AI Skills Passport, a no-cost, self-directed learning program developed by EY and powered by Microsoft AI.
The program is designed for learners aged 16+ and supports participants in
- Exploring AI careers in sectors like sustainability, business, entrepreneurship, and technology
- Building job-ready skills through structured learning modules
- Gaining employability tools that help connect people to opportunities in a rapidly growing digital landscape
This initiative reflects a growing need for accessible digital literacy and workforce development tools across New Brunswick — and provides an excellent entry point for individuals looking to enhance their AI understanding.
Holiday Community Gathering
Following the talk, attendees are invited to stay for Civic Tech Saint John’s annual holiday social.
