The UNB Coding Boot Camp

In partnership with McKenna Institute and the University of New Brunswick, TechImpact launched the first series of the skilling boot camps. These boot camps directly address our province's tech industry labour shortage and will provide students with a direct path to get hired in the New Brunswick tech workforce. 

The UNB Coding Boot Camp is a 24-week, part-time program.

The UNB Coding Boot Camp curriculum featured the following skills:

  • Browser-based technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and jQuery)

  • Databases (MySQL, MongoDB)

  • Server-side development (Express.js, React.js and Node.js)

  • Quality assurance and deployment (unit testing, linting, continuous integration)

 

Graduates of this Boot Camp will be best suited for the following positions:

  • Full Stack Developer

  • Back End Web Developer

  • Software Developer

  • QA and Test Engineer

  • Front End Web Developer

Virtual Networking Session

In partnership with Edx TechImpact is hosting a virtual networking session and are looking for employers who are currently hiring and would be interested in meeting with graduate of the UNB Coding Boot Camp Certification.

Event Details: Virtual Networking session, Wednesday, April 25th from 6-7 pm AST.

Depending on the number of employers that join the event, we will provide you with 3-5 minutes to introduce your company and talk about career opportunities. We encourage you to have 1-2 slides maximum prepared. More details of the evening to come as employers are confirmed.
