Victory Advanced Technologies Gets Boost to Shake Up Electric Car Industry

Victory Advanced Technologies (VAT), based in Saint John, New Brunswick, just got a big push from the government to change the electric vehicle (EV) world. Wayne Long, Member of Parliament for Saint John-Rothesay, announced a new investment of $400,223 from the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) to help VAT grow.
This money will help VAT create and sell their high-efficiency, carbon-negative electric motor system. This system is built tough for the Canadian weather and offers a cleaner option for cars, planes, and boats.
They plan to use the funds to hire more tech experts in Saint John and spread their products worldwide. Belyea said this support means a lot and that being in the Maritimes, with its hardworking attitude, is key to their success.
The government's investment is part of the Regional Economic Growth through Innovation (REGI) program. This program supports projects that help communities grow economically, help businesses expand, and encourage innovation.
With this investment, VAT is ready to make an impact not just in Canada but globally, offering a sustainable option that's good for the planet.
