Cathy Simpson participates in Talent Panel at ATS 2022.

The Atlantic Technology Summit was hosted in Halifax this week. They welcomed professionals from across Atlantic Canada and beyond to Downtown Halifax to discuss the present and future of the sector. These conversations featured a panel of experts, including TechImpact's Cathy Simpson. Cathy's panel discussed the nuances and challenges of attracting, developing and retaining talent in the IT Sector in Atlantic Canada.

With remote work normalized during the pandemic, and demographic shifts pushing the need for increased immigration and engagement for a more diverse and inclusive workforce, these conversations are top of mind for many leaders in the tech sector. Cathy shared the stage with Andrew Rau-Chaplin of Dalhousie University, Tosin Ajibola, CEO of Welkom-U (a platform designed to improve the experience of newcomers to Canada), Erin Urquhart, the Director of Business and Client Services at RBC and Matthew Steinberg Director of North America Engineering at HubAvanade.
