Seven Recommendations Pointing to Bigger Ambitions for Atlantic Canada

In a jam-packed room on Friday, September 25^th, 2026 in Riverview, we heard from Minister Sean Fraser, the Atlantic Economic Chair and Panel members on the outcomes of their month’s long consultations.

The result was seven recommendations on transformational growth for the region. Premier Susan Holt and Premier Tim Houston attended, and both spoke about the need for more collaboration and action. Frank McKenna ended the event describing the urgent need to eliminate barriers between our provinces, mobilizing and taking action.

Thank you to the panel members for their dedication of time and energy to reimagine the Atlantic region and to put words on paper to address not only what is holding us back but to make recommendations on the hard decisions required to move us forward.

The report called Bolder Ambitions – Greater Prosperity for All  is the jumping-off point for greater prosperity and success.
