InnovateNB Keynote Announcement: Cathy Bennett, Sandpiper Ventures

We’re excited to announce that Cathy Bennett, Founding and Managing Partner at Sandpiper Ventures, will deliver the keynote address at the InnovateNB Awards on Thursday, November 27 at the Saint John Trade and Convention Centre.  

  A seasoned entrepreneur, former CEO, and respected business leader from Newfoundland and Labrador, Cathy brings more than 30 years of experience leading and growing companies across construction, manufacturing, HR, food service, industrial supply, and real estate. A former Finance Minister and past director with the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC), she continues to drive economic growth and innovation in the region. Through her firm, Bennett Group of Companies, and her ongoing leadership with Sandpiper Ventures, Cathy has championed investment, entrepreneurship, and women’s leadership across Atlantic Canada.  

  In her keynote, Cathy will discuss the importance of innovation to drive the economy.  She will share insights on what she has learned as a founder, investor, and board member and how important investing is to shape our regional economy.
