The provincial government is supporting a Fredericton information technology and cybersecurity company in the creation of 240 full-time jobs.
Opportunities NB is providing Bulletproof Solutions with up to $1.8 million in the form of a payroll rebate to help the company triple its workforce by 2027. The expansion is expected to contribute up to $39.4 million in direct provincial GDP over that time.
“It is incredible to watch this homegrown company and a 2023 New Brunswick Export Award winner reach new heights and expand in our province,” said Greg Turner, minister responsible for Opportunities NB. “We are proud to support local businesses because their success contributes to economic growth in our province and demonstrates to the world that New Brunswick is a place where businesses can grow and thrive.”
The new positions include security analysts in the security operations centre, bilingual service desk agents, Microsoft Cloud security experts, Microsoft Cloud security specialists, and security pen testers.
“For over 20 years, Bulletproof has been providing information technology, security and compliance solutions and guidance to businesses, small and large, in various industries,” said president and chief operating officer Steven Burns. “We are well positioned for this major expansion in our value stream offerings, which will lead to employment growth in this region to support export sales and services.”
Bulletproof is headquartered in Fredericton with offices across North America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The company’s work has been recognized nationally and globally, being named Microsoft’s Global Security Partner of the Year in 2021 and winning four Microsoft Canada Impact Awards.
Hiring has begun and employment opportunities are available on the company’s website.
