A Centre of Excellence for Digital Innovation

With an initial investment from the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA), Education and Early Childhood Development Minister Bill Hogan lauded the centre's importance in helping students "gain the proper knowledge and skillsets to prepare them for life after graduation."

The model will allow industry leaders to partner with the department and share their expertise in developing resources. This sharing is facilitated through site visits and experiential learning. The aim is to nurture and encourage young New Brunswickers to become familiar and engage with innovative technologies, organizational structure and workflows to inspire them to help develop a new diversified and inclusive New Brunswick Economy.

Partners of the initiative include:

  • New Brunswick Community College
  • St. Thomas University
  • McKenna Institute
  • TechImpact
  • Brilliant Labs
  • Atlantic Canadian Aerospace and Defence Association, and
  • The Information Communication Technology Council
