Advancing women into leadership roles is critical to building a more inclusive, innovative, and resilient digital economy. Across Canada, organizations are increasingly recognizing the need to address systemic barriers and create intentional pathways for women to move into senior and decision-making roles.

ICTC’s Advancing Women’s Leadership initiative is designed to support this shift by equipping employers, mentors, and leaders with practical tools to foster more diverse leadership teams within the digital economy.

Empowering Change Through Mentorship

As part of the program, ICTC is calling on experienced professionals to serve as mentors and help guide women as they advance into leadership positions. Mentors play a key role in supporting career growth, building confidence, and sharing real-world insights that help emerging leaders navigate complex workplace environments.

By participating, mentors contribute directly to strengthening equity, diversity, and inclusion within Canada’s digital workforce while helping organizations cultivate stronger leadership pipelines.

A Webinar Series Focused on Practical Action

The Advancing Women’s Leadership initiative also includes a bilingual webinar series that provides actionable strategies for building inclusive leadership teams. These sessions are designed for employers, HR professionals, and leaders seeking to better understand how data, policy, and organizational practices can drive meaningful change.

The upcoming session, From Metrics to Movement: How to Track and Report Leadership Diversity, focuses on:

  • Implementing effective data-tracking practices

  • Measuring leadership diversity and progress

  • Using reporting to inform long-term organizational change
