Canada’s prosperity and innovation increasingly rely on semiconductors - the small but mighty technologies that power everything from consumer electronics and clean tech to AI, quantum computing, and advanced defence systems.

Next week in Ottawa, **ICTC** (Information and Communications Technology Council) and **CMC Microsystems** will co-host an in-person discussion on the pivotal role of semiconductors in shaping Canada’s future.

This event marks the launch of a new partnership between ICTC and CMC Microsystems -  a collaboration aimed at expanding Canada’s semiconductor talent pipeline through training, research, and work-integrated learning opportunities.

The event will also unveil ICTC’s landmark report, *Mapping Canada’s Semiconductor Industry: Insights on Talent, Workforce Development, and Technological Strengths*, which provides new insights into workforce challenges, industry strengths, and strategic policy directions to build a globally competitive semiconductor sector.
