Canada’s prosperity and innovation increasingly rely on semiconductors - the small but mighty technologies that power everything from consumer electronics and clean tech to AI, quantum computing, and advanced defence systems.
Next week in Ottawa, ICTC (Information and Communications Technology Council) and CMC Microsystems will co-host an in-person discussion on the pivotal role of semiconductors in shaping Canada’s future.
This event marks the launch of a new partnership between ICTC and CMC Microsystems - a collaboration aimed at expanding Canada’s semiconductor talent pipeline through training, research, and work-integrated learning opportunities.
The event will also unveil ICTC’s landmark report, Mapping Canada’s Semiconductor Industry: Insights on Talent, Workforce Development, and Technological Strengths, which provides new insights into workforce challenges, industry strengths, and strategic policy directions to build a globally competitive semiconductor sector.
