International Day of Women and Girls in Science
CollabHub
In partnership with the Centre of Excellence for Digital Innovation and the Centre of Excellence for Energy, TechImpact is leading 2 sessions at a virtual showcase for K-12 students to celebrate International Day of Women and Girls in Science (IDWGIS) on March 17th from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm.
This year's IDWGIS theme is Innovate. Demonstrate. Elevate. Advance. Sustain. (I.D.E.A.S.). The focus is on the empowerment of women and girls in the participation of STEM education and training and promoting women’s equal access to careers in this sector.
As such, TechImpact will focus on pathways to a career in the tech sector and how diversity is key in the creation of equal and sustainable cities.
TechImpact continues to work towards creating a more diverse and inclusive workforce and recognizes that full and equal access to science and technology training for women and girls of all ages is imperative. Participating in events like International Women and Girls Day in Science is an opportunity to showcase phenomenal female leaders who have accomplished great things here in New Brunswick.
