Attention entrepreneurs, students, researchers & fearless innovators!
The City of Fredericton, UNB, NBCC, and Ignite are pleased to be extending special invitations to participate in Boost 2023: Ideation Camp taking place March 16-20, 2023.
Apply to play a role in creating a “made in Fredericton” design solution that will help your community to track and reduce transportation-related greenhouse gas emissions.
Challenge Statement: In order to reach targets of reducing community GHG emissions by 50 percent by 2030 and achieving net zero by 2050, huge transformative action is required by the residents and municipal corporation. Numerous goals are contained within the Community Energy & Emissions Plan (CEEP) and the Climate Change Adaptation Report; however, this challenge will focus on reducing transportation GHG emissions using data and technology.
This is a two-part challenge: (1) data, the biggest constraint within this challenge is the lack of data, and (2) technology, the second part of this challenge is exploring how you can use persuasive technology to motivate residents to question their choices.
