InteliSys Aviation Advances AI Capabilities Through Digital Boost 3.0

Overview

InteliSys Aviation, a Canada-based provider of airline reservation technology, partnered with Digital Boost 3.0 to accelerate the development of AI capabilities within its amelia Platform.

Supporting more than 60 airlines worldwide, InteliSys delivers its amelia platform to help carriers manage reservations, inventory, distribution, and retailing in a fast-moving commercial environment. As airline expectations continue to evolve, InteliSys continues to invest in advancing its platform to ensure customers have access to modern, flexible technology that supports both current operations and future growth. This focus on continuous product development led to the exploration of how AI could be applied to further streamline the booking experience and support modern airline retailing strategies.

The Challenge

Airlines today are under increasing pressure to improve digital conversion while maintaining cost efficiency.

Key challenges include:

  • Booking flows that introduce friction and lead to abandoned transactions
  • Limited accessibility outside traditional support channels
  • Increasing expectations for faster, more intuitive booking experiences

At the same time, airlines require solutions that maintain operational control, system reliability, and flexibility across complex distribution environments.

For InteliSys, the challenge was to explore how AI could address these gaps without compromising the stability and performance that airline operations depend on.

The Approach

Through Digital Boost 3.0, InteliSys executed a structured two-phase initiative in collaboration with technology partner NeenOpal

Phase 1: Assessment

The initial phase focused on identifying where AI could deliver the greatest value within the amelia platform, while ensuring alignment with real airline use cases. This phase ensured that any AI development would be both technically viable and commercially relevant for airline customers.

Phase 2: Implementation

Building on these insights, InteliSys worked with New Brunswick technology partner NeenOpal to develop a conversational booking assistant prototype designed to simplify the booking journey.

The solution enables users to:

  • Search and compare flights through natural language
  • Navigate booking in a more intuitive, streamlined way
  • Complete key steps in fewer interactions

The system was designed to:

  • Reduce friction in the booking process
  • Improve accessibility through a 24/7 interface
  • Support faster, more responsive interactions

Underpinned by scalable, serverless infrastructure, the solution is designed to support multi-airline environments and future product expansion.

Results
  • A working conversational booking assistant prototype for flight search and booking flows
  • A scalable deployment approach designed for reliability and long-term growth
  • A stronger foundation for future AI features across the amelia platform

This initiative reflects InteliSys Aviation’s continued focus on delivering practical, customer-driven innovation. By investing in capabilities that reduce booking friction, improve accessibility, and support revenue growth, InteliSys ensures its airline partners are equipped to compete in an increasingly dynamic market.

By participating in Digital Boost 3.0, InteliSys accelerated its AI capability development while maintaining a clear focus on what matters most to airlines: stability, flexibility, and measurable commercial outcomes.

This initiative reflects our approach to innovation at InteliSys, where we focus on applying technology in a way that delivers real value to our airline customers. Our goal is to enhance the booking experience while maintaining the reliability, scalability, and control that airlines depend on. AI plays a key role in that evolution when implemented in a practical and commercially meaningful way.
