FREDERICTON (GNB) , 17th February 2022 – Deloitte is expanding its technology operations into New Brunswick. The growth of the company’s Canadian delivery centre is expected to create about 200 full-time positions in New Brunswick’s technology and consulting sector over the next five years.
“The Government of New Brunswick, through Opportunities NB, is pleased to see Deloitte’s continued growth and expansion into the province,” said Arlene Dunn, minister responsible for Opportunities NB. “This expansion aligns with Opportunities NB’s dedication to improving our technology sector and enables more digital transformation service capabilities in our region.”
The delivery centre is a team of functional and technical experts that serves clients nationally and internationally. It provides technology, cybersecurity and HR transformation services, including cloud technology, data management and custom development. Currently based in Montreal, the centre’s expansion to New Brunswick will include hiring at all levels, from new graduates to experienced industry professionals based in Fredericton, Moncton and Saint John.

To support the creation of these jobs, Deloitte is eligible for a payroll rebate of up to $1.9 million from Opportunities NB over five years. This investment is estimated to have a direct GDP impact of $52.4 million for the province.

Deloitte will be working with Opportunities NB to attract newcomers to the province, bringing a wide range of backgrounds, experiences and perspectives to its workplaces and clients, as well as providing valuable jobs to the province and its newcomers. The company is also working with a variety of post-secondary education institutions on hiring new and recent graduates to help retain the province’s top talent.
